Our story

From Japan,
back to New York.

Onigiri Joe started with a trip to Japan. After months of traveling, our founder kept coming back to onigiri: a simple rice ball that made a great everyday meal.

He took courses and learned from experienced chefs, then brought those lessons home to New York. The menu puts familiar flavors inside onigiri, with matcha and hojicha alongside.
